The air has a crisp bite to it, and I’ve had to scrape frost off my car windows more than once in the past few weeks. I live at an elevation of 4,500 feet above sea level; some of my favorite fishing holes already have snow that likely won’t melt until next June.
This all means that fall is here, and with fall’s arrival come the steelhead.
Their numbers may be fewer than we’d like, but they’re there, and they’re spectacular. To celebrate steelhead season, we wanted to share this spectacular steelheading video created by Todd Moen, of Catch Magazine, about a year and a half ago. Granted, it documents a spring steelhead run, but it’s still the best steelhead video I’ve ever seen.
So kick back, grab a beer, and enjoy the show.
