Iceland is an underground fly fishing destination – like Patagonia, before Patagonia was cool. It’s not hipster, because that lifestyle and fly fishing just don’t mesh, but it is criminally underrated as a fishery.
You can see that evidence in this video from Jorgen Hansson, who filmed a trip to Iceland for arctic char.
Arctic char are some of the most beautiful fish in the world (they’re closely related to Dolly varden and bull trout) and are only caught in incredible places – like Iceland.
